About Me

Hi, I’m Kaela. I write contemporary fiction about love, friendship, heartbreak, and the messy, magical process of figuring out how we fit in this world.

Originally from Cincinnati, I traded Midwest winters for Tampa sunshine after earning a degree in Creative Writing and Communications from Ohio State. I work as a legal proposal writer by day and write fiction by (very early) morning.

When I’m not hunched over my keyboard, you can usually find me running, experimenting with new recipes, or reading another book about twenty-somethings in crisis.

Right now, I’m drafting my third novel and quietly (okay, not so quietly) dreaming of the day I’ll see my books on shelves.
